I often see this beautiful chair in US home style magazines, but rarely in Sweden. The Cherner Armchair was designed in 1958 by Norman Cherner and utilizes a molded plywood seat with a unique construction of laminated plywood in graduated thickness. The arms are made of solid beech which gives the chair additional strength. There is also a stacking chair ressembling the Arne Jacobsen Series 7 chairs that are extremely popular in Scandinavia.
