Garance Doré






I recently found the blog Garance Doré and it quickly became one of my absolute favourites. Written by a parisian freelance illustrator it started in 2006 and shows illustrations and photos of street fashion.

Acne + Lanvin









Lanvin and Acne Jeans have joined their talents to create an exclusive collection based around denim. Born from a meeting between Alber Elbaz and Jonny Johansson, the creative director of the celebrated Swedish jeans brand founded in 1996, this micro-range for men and women was developed around the idea of “making denim desirable”. Trom Wednesday the collection will be available at Acne Studio, at Lanvin stores throughout Europe and at secected Barney’s New York stores.

Gingerbread houses




At Box Experience you can buy a box with 4 architect-designed gingerbread houses. Wingårdhs, Marge Arkitekter, Rosenberg Arkitekter and architect Johan Paju has designed the houses. A fun idea and a perfect present at the glögg party.

The Beach



More prizes! Another prize by the Swedish Assiciation of Architecs is The Siena Prize. This prize is for outdoor environment architecture. This year's winner is "the Beach" made in the Rosenlund Park in the middle of Stockholm, Södermalm. Architect is Bernstrand & Co. Just love the idea of a beach in the middle of a city.

Kalmar Art Museum






The Kasper Salin Prize is a prize awarded annually by the Swedish Association of Architects to a Swedish building "of high architectural standard". Tham Videgård Hansson is the architects behind the winning building this year, Kalmar Art Museum. Photos by Åke E:son Lindman.

Skorder


School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg student Johanna Eliason presented this conceptual piece of furniture at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2008. Skorder is a decorative shoe rack with inspiration from display cases, stacked shoeboxes and the mess in the designer's own wardrobe.

Straight Lines Design


Straight Lines Designs Inc. design mostly childrens furniture and describe their design as "whimsical and unusual". I'm not sure if I would like to have their furniture in my home but they make you smile. Like the table "Bad table".
