Tenochtitlan in Sköna Hem
The Driade Cosmo chandelier in the previous post was featured in Swedish interior decorating magazine Sköna Hem last summer. They placed modern objects in a 16th century setting and the result is beautiful.
Driade Kosmo
Driade Kosmo is part of the Italian design house Driade, and has since 1986 invited artists to create inspired everyday objects. They produce tableware, candleholders, vases, and serving pieces and show the beauty and potential of textures and materials like glass, porcelain, stainless steel, mahogany, wood and crystal.
More knits
Winter still holds us in a firm grip here in Scandinavia. However thrilling spring/summer clothes may seem, it feels really surreal to plan for hot days when the temperature is below zero. Only wool really catches my eye and I'll stick to colourful knits for still some time. These images from Style.com are from the pre-fall 2008 collection of Chloé. They have such a friendly seventies feeling and I just love the colours.

Cord Lamp by Form us with love
I just bought this lamp for the living room, Cord, designed by the fantastic design trio Form us with love. I love the way they have made the cord as a design element not just something irritating you want to hide away. It is so simple, made from a standard bulb, a black and white textile cord and a steel tube.

Pop-art floor
Humble vinyl tape turned this NYC art-collector's floor into pop-art. The floor was created by Glasgow-based artist Jim Lambie and took four people four days to complete. Image from New York Magazine.

Hurry up spring!
It's so cold and dark here in the north. I can't wait until the light comes back and it's time to put the heavy dark clothes aside. Stockholmers are sticking to black as their favourite fashion colour througout the seasons but I'm hoping there will be some more colour this spring. Love the aquarelle colours of Marni's s/s 08 collection. Images from Style.com

Le Rouge and Stylt
Last week I visited Le Rouge, a new restaurant in the Old Town in Stockholm. It’s a really romantic and cosy place in a large cellar designed as a traditional French Moulin Rouge restaurant with a lot of warm colours and heavy fabric. Behind the interior design is the interesting company Stylt. They have designed a lot of hotels and restaurants and they choose to see themselves as scriptwriters and directors in the creation of a new place. They work with the method storytelling and at Le Rouge it really feels like you are in a different time and place.
