Lunch at Junibacken

Junibacken is the name of the children's books writer Astrid Lindgren's museum in Stockholm. The name comes from the home of one of Astrid Lindgren's most loved characters: Madicken. This Saturday I was invited to lunch at the real Junibacken; Järsta outside Uppsala. It belongs to friends of my parents and has been in same family for six generations. During two summers in the 70's they rented it out to the film company producing Madicken. The garden and the house with details and furniture from the 1860's are simply gorgeous.
