India

I've been on a trip to Bangalore and Goa in India, a country with many extreme contrasts. Here, like in no other place, impressions seem to signal directly to my tear ducts. The beauty is overwhelming - but being surrounded by extreme poverty is heartbreaking.

I was struck when I watched a recent interview of Richard Curtis and how he has taken what he is good at and used it to help those in poverty. http://wall.willowcreek.com/leaders/2007_summit/session_8.asp
I can really recommend watching it. It has made me think about what I could do - where I am - to help others. He has some touching footage in India.
