A private riad in Marrakech

Fashion designer Liz Bruce and her husband, artist Nicholas Alvis Vega, were introduced to the Ourika Valley by their driver when visiting Marrakech. In a Berber village in this riverside region at the foot of the Atlas mountains, they found the shell of a half built riad, abandoned in the 1970's. They saw the potential and decided to buy it and restore it into a second home. Images and more info Elle Decor
