Swedish design brand Dagmar was founded by the three sisters Karin Söderlind, Kristina Tjäder and Sofia Malm and was launched in spring 2005. Dagmar was the name of the sisters' late grandmother - and big source of inspiration. In February 2006 Dagmar was awarded Best new designer of the year by Swedish Elle. The brand was also chosen to participate in the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion show which took place during New York fashion week in September 2007.

Jantze Brogård Asshoff
We made a blogpost about the design studio Jantze Brogård Asshoff last year but they have some new really nice things to show. The cabinet Peek, the sideboard Trollsta for IKEA, tableware Gataeu and the ceramic hook Bird (from last year, but so cute I want to show it). Sophisticated, useful products with a poetic soul and playful character. They mix modern with traditional, folklore with decadent luxury and regional Swedish handicraft with industrial production.

Kimono dress by Diana Orving
I just bought this Diana Orving kimono shirtdress from the webshop Branten. Diana Orving is one of my favourite designers. Her clothes are often sophisticated with a lot of volume and draping. And Branten is a really nice web shop with designers like Ann-Sofie Back, Dagmar, Hope, Minimarket and Velour. Worth visiting!

Before and after
Swedish decoration magazine Elle Interiör recently presented a furniture makeover contest. The winner was the IKEA wardrobe in rococo armoire costume. Other fun and cute contestants were the funky flower chair and the wallpaper lamp shade.
